The author brings the issue of traumatic nucleus through the presentation of a clinical example. Based on the theories of Winnicott, Green, Botella and others, she demonstrates that the traumatic nucleus occurs at a very early period, when the subject’s dependency on the object is still absolute, and it also occurs as a consequence of the lack of investment of the latter on the subject.
