In this work, I present and I comment, under the light of the Freudian ideas, the concepts of trauma, representation and repetition. We can consider that the first traumatic change, that becomes the archetype of all posterior change, is the trauma of the birth; it is followed by the terrible catastrophe that is the discovery of the third and is taken as model in relation to all many traumas which follows, in the development of the life of the individuals. Great part of the emotional development, along a lifetime, will depend on the way the individual deals with and elaborate these traumatic experiences. Concepts are illustrated with commentaries on a clinical case.
