Winnicott provided a description of the idea of the “survival of the object” within the realm of early relationship with the mother. The author suggests dealing with this issue in a more extensive manner, describing its complex forms, both during childhood and adolescence; addressing the forms that relate to the issue of the “survival” of the object and its discovery as other-subject, as well as the issue of the “survival” of psychic processes subjected to the action of contradictory processes.
