The article aims to present a possibility of redefining the human being by the subject of pain. The pain does not indicate what the world is in itself but a human experience of the world, a part of the dynamics of existence. Physically or psychically the pain tangles body and psyche. Psychoanalysis and philosophy can contribute for an assay of prejudice about the meaning that the proposed theme has in human existence and its restitution as a poliphacetic theme.
