The representation of psychic life emerging in a child’s analysis

The analysts make a theoretical and clinical reflection on the material of a child that has came to the analysis using rigid defenses in an attempt to contain his emotional impulses. For this, the analysts based it on the studies of Bion, Winnicott, Ferro, and Ogden, among other authors. In the confidant intimacy of a session, through the simple and repetitive game of “making slime”, the pair brings forth a potential space. Thus, as in a masterpiece, the unknown and at the same time familiar, gains representations through textures, colors and shapes in the affective field of the pair, transforming the emotions of the essence of living.
