From the experience of being part of the IPA Inter-Committee on Prejudice and Racism, an author discusses a discovery for Psychoanalysis when the subject is racism and human rights due to the responsibility when attention is turned outward, to the community in which it is located, and inward, when the attention is in the way we clinically approach internalized racial relations. The recognition of the unconscious dynamics that involve whiteness is indeed from a psychoanalytic perspective.
