This is a narrative bibliographical research, which aims to build a conceptual path that presents literature as a tool in the redefinition of masculinities. The work started from the broader concept of language presented by psychoanalyst Fraçoise Dolto; found notes by Sigmund Freud about the unsettling in literary art, cited the important contributions of Judith Butler on genres, and then pointed out the work of fiction Butterfly child by Frenchman Marc Majewski as an alternative for the construction of new narratives, thus promoting a path of symbolic resignification of masculinities through literature.
