This paper reflects the traumatic experience resulting from the 2024 flood in Rio Grande do Sul, and the internal and external movements that the Psychoanalytic Society of Pelotas experienced during that period. The experience of the social clinic, of the care provided in crisis situations, and the possible transformations in these circumstances are like messages that we send to colleagues who are in the same boat, or to those who, inevitably, are on the margins of similar situations.
