This work describes Marina’s clinical case, a woman with failures in her psychic constitution and early traumas, who sought analysis due to somatic symptoms. Her analysis required adaptations to classical psychoanalytic technique. Marina faced challenges such as endometriosis, hysterectomy, and emotional problems linked to a history of abandonment and neglect. The technique aimed to rebuild her psychic tissue, work on affects, and strengthen internal representations. The transferential-countertransferential relationship was essential in the process, seeking to promote autonomy and the revitalization of her internal resources. The analysis also explored the impact of her traumas on her psychic organization and somatizations. With progress, Marina began to invest more in herself, building a more autonomous life, despite still searching for her female identity. The case highlights the specificities of working with psychosomatic patients, where the analyst acts as support for the reorganization of libido and the development of a richer internal world.
