This edition of the journal, the last of our term (2024/2025), is dedicated to one of the most fruitful and challenging concepts of Freudian metapsychology: Identification. From Freud, who described it as the primordial and foundational affective bond of psychic constitution, to contemporary reinterpretations that encompass issues of gender, sexuality, social belonging, and subjectivity, identification continues to reveal itself as a structuring axis of clinical practice and theory.
Everyone is invited to delve into the following pages, which contain reflections that move between conceptual rigor and the vitality of clinical experience. The diversity of contributions in this edition allows us to glimpse the richness of multiple perspectives. Each text reveals the relevance of psychoanalysis in its effort to understand the unique forms of constitution of the self and its bond with the other. [...]
