Abstract

It is with great joy that we launch the first journal issue under the leadership of the 2026–2027 board, titled The Psychoanalytic Clinic. This year, as a way of collaborating with the Scientific Board, we decided to adopt the same thematic focus; this reflects the cohesive and synchronized manner in which the team led by our president, Patricia Rivoire Menelli Goldfeld, has been working. We spent months receiving a large volume of submissions, which our committee—acting with diligence and competence—evaluated in order to compile Volume 28, Issue 1 (2026). For this new edition, we also decided to redesign the cover. We chose a work by visual artist Gisele Sperb that, in our view, powerfully embodies the theme of this issue: Sigmund Freud—the man who taught us, and continues to teach us, about the psychoanalytic clinic.
