A necessidade de uma “psicologia psicanalítica” no campo da ciência cognitiva

A autora destaca as contribuições e as contribuições potenciais da psicanálise para a psicologia cognitiva. A primeira seção do trabalho inclui alguns princípios básicos do enfoque psicanalítico do processamento da informação. A segunda seção mostra como a teoria do código múltiplo proporciona as bases para construir a ponte entre a ciência cognitiva e o campo psicanalítico. Assinala a necessidade de um subcampo da psicologia – “psicologia psicanalítica” – que abarque a integração de sistemas dentro do indivíduo e o funcionamento adaptativo, sua dissociação na patologia e os meios pelos quais se pode adquirir uma nova integração.
