Before beginning, I highlight some elements of theory and practice that define me as an analyst in 2023. I think it is important that you understand where I find myself as a psychoanalyst today. Until later they understand what I will present about dependencies and addictions. I am an analyst who fundamentally thinks that the psyche is made up of the connection between the drive and the other. This seems to me to be a key point, the drive and the other. Other point important is the psychic apparatus. For me, it is structured beyond the language. Language is obviously important – not that I think the contrary. But I believe there is something in the human psyche that goes beyond language and it is the analysts' job to discover it. At the clinic, another of the things that define me – and that has to do with ideas of my presentation on dependencies and addictions – that’s what I called analyst's instinctive bet. I don't believe in an abstinent professional in this moment – which does not mean an analyst satisfied with anything he an analysand can propose. But I believe there is a bet for “love”, in quotation marks, to the other, to the patient, who must be the key to a model appropriate therapy. [...]
