Starting with a review of the concepts of imagination, fantasy and game in the philosophy and in Freud, Klein, Winnicott, Meltzer, Bion, Segal and Castoriadis, the author distinguishes the more defensive, closed character and the state of certainty of the fantasy from the open character of the imagination, which joins itself to the conjecture and the exploration of the world in different possibilities. She relates the game climax and the action of the imagination with the apogee of the Oedipus complex. She points that in the psychosis there would be a hypertrophy of the fantasy and incapacity to imagine.
