El autor propone nuevas perspectivas sobre las fantasías inconscientes. Procura demostrar que los Sistemas Cs. e Ics. no funcionan en conflicto, pero de modo complementar como oposiciones binarias. El Sistema Ics. tiene dos mayores componentes, el Ics. no reprimido y el Ics. reprimido o dinámico, donde el primer Ics. es platónico inherente y el último, el dominio de las memorias reprimidas de las experiencias reales. El autor postula que el último es el depósito del procesamiento mental vía sueños y fantasías que se originan de las actividades del primero. Los Sistemas Ics. y Cs. funcionan como pinzas opuestas y cooperativas para interceptar “O” (la Verdad Absoluta sobre la Realidad Última). La formación de la fantasía inconsciente, o sea, el funcionamiento de la función alfa, constituye el pensamiento inconsciente. Los “actores” que desempeñan las fantasías inconscientes son fantasmas o demonios diversificados (ambos, positivos y negativos) que representan un papel dramático esperando que, mientras tanto, alguien esté allá para interpretar su pantomima, de modo que ellos puedan, como la esfinge en Oedipus Rex, ser libertados y retornar al repertorio. La interpretación psicoanalítica de la fantasía inconsciente los confirma y los completa, por lo tanto, no desacreditándolos meramente. Sueños y fantasías inconscientes son nuestro “servicio silencioso”.
