I would like to thank Dr. Dethieux for being here with us, for the effort of coming to Brazil to share his knowledge, and, above all, for his generosity in opening up his clinical practice and presenting cases related to the concept of rapport—a subject we have been studying for quite some time.
I believe this keen interest stems from the richness of the concept of rapport. It is truly rewarding to see how the author clearly articulates the metapsychology of trauma and illustrates it with vivid clinical examples—offering the rare opportunity to examine cases involving the return in adulthood of analysands who were treated during childhood.
